2026 Old Dog Womble
The Labrador Club walks are fun but some of the oldies can’t manage the full distance, so this womble
is for those Labs that are happier having a mooch around the paddocks with lots of good smells without
having to keep up with the boisterous young ones. We are restricting the womble for Labradors aged
10 years +, or those that are compromised and can’t do a full Labrador Walk.
Paddocks are fenced and dogs can be let off lead. Most paddocks are relatively flat with a little up and
down. Humans, please wear sensible footwear/gumboots and bring a dog(s) a towel for a rub down
afterwards.
After the walk Mike Gething (retired vet) will answer your questions and provide useful information
on caring for your Labrador in his/her latter years.
You are invited back to the house afterwards for coffee/tea whilst your dogs can remain off lead in the
confines of the dog proof section surrounding Mike and Pat’s home.
Directions: Griggs Road is off the main Whitford Highway (on your right about 7.5 km from Botany
Town Centre). After you turn into Griggs Road travel down the new road through the trees at the
turnaround – approximately .5km from the main highway. Please Park on the road and walk through
the pedestrian gate. Please keep your dogs on the lead until everyone has arrived.
**Numbers are limited to 10 – so please book your spot early! **
