Welcome to The Labrador Club

Annie arrived in New Zealand from Melbourne, Australia, on 8 December 2025, when my partner Joan and Annie relocated here to live.

Prior to moving, Annie lived in a household with another dog, acat, and several rescued baby kangaroos. Joan regularly cared for orphaned kangaroos whose mothers had been involved in accidents, so Annie has been exposed to a variety of animals from a young age.

She is an incredibly gentle and affectionate dog who loves cuddles, beach walks, off-lead runs at the park, car rides, camping trips, and snuggling on the couch or bed. She especially enjoys belly rubs and will happily roll over for attention whenever given the chance.

Annie has also had extensive exposure to people with disabilities, as Joan worked as a support worker in Australia and continues to do so in New Zealand. Through this work,Annie has accompanied Joan on visits to hospitals and has always been calm, gentle, and well-behaved in those environments.

During the time I have spent with Annie, she has shown nothing but love, loyalty, and companionship.

She is exceptionally well-mannered around food, which is somewhat unusual for a Labrador. She will patiently sit and wait until given the command to eat and is always gentle when taking treats. Annie walks well on a lead, responds to commands such as "walk with me," and remains close by whenoff-lead, never wandering far from her owner.

Annie is also a huge fan of the water and even enjoys joining us on the jet ski.
