I would like to thank The Labrador Club for inviting me to judge at their 51st Club Championship Show. It gave me great pleasure to go over some wonderful dogs at this my last ever judging appointment. I would also like to thank my Ring Steward and Show Manager for their help in making it a special day with our breed.

In writing this small piece about the two CC winners I do not want to exclude all the other exhibits. The general standard was very good with some typical heads and excellent outlines.
My CC winners were of very high quality and would win in most countries in the world. Both had lovely heads and expression and the chocolate bitch had good eye colour. Both dogs had very good deep body with good forechest, level toplines and excellent quarters. In the final selection for Best In Show I preferred the head and short coupling of the bitch.
I hope they both go on to win well.
